The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 30th that it will sign a business agreement with eight major domestic transportation institutions and industries on the 31st to promote various cooperative projects so that foreign tourists can travel conveniently and safely when traveling in Korea.
The Korea Tourism Organization and the transportation industry agreed that high-quality domestic transportation services should be provided to foreign tourists, and decided to actively promote transportation services improvement and promotion projects. In particular, the system will be improved so that short-term tourists can freely book and use domestic transportation without restrictions such as language and certification, and publicity will be strengthened to promote tourists' use of domestic transportation.
First of all, SR Co., Ltd. will work with SRT foreign language reservation and payment system, and the National Express Bus Transport Business Association and T-Money will work with global OTA 'Klook' to establish an express bus reservation and payment menu. Kakao Mobility Co., Ltd. plans to use Kakao T services through partnerships with overseas mobility companies and internal system improvement, T-map Mobility Co., Ltd. will introduce a new national airport bus reservation service, Lotte Rental Co., Ltd. will introduce and expand a "non-contact payment system" in domestic transportation such as tourist taxis.
In this regard, the Korea Tourism Organization will establish an "Easy Book, Easy Go" site on the Korea Tourism Foreign Language Website (visitkorea.or.kr ) to introduce major domestic transportation to foreign tourists and provide transportation recommendations and reservation links linked to tourist destinations by region and theme. In addition, in collaboration with the industry, it will actively implement promotions and marketing to promote the use of domestic transportation such as advertisements, events, and discount promotions.
Meanwhile, prior to the business agreement, representatives of the eight collaborative companies held the "Overseas Tourist Transportation Service Innovation Alliance Declaration Ceremony" with the Tourism Organization and the Korea Railroad Corporation on the 23rd at the "2023-2024 Visit Korea Year K Tourism Cooperation Ceremony."
Lee Jae-hwan, vice president of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "We will do our best to achieve 10 million foreign visitors by improving transportation services in the region to enhance demand for local visits."

한국관광공사는 국내 주요 교통 기관·업계 8개 사와 함께 외래 관광객들이 국내 여행 시 편리하고 안전하게 여행할 수 있도록 다양한 협력 사업을 추진하고자 오는 31일 업무협약을 체결한다고 30일 밝혔다.
관광공사와 교통업계는 외래 관광객들을 대상으로 양질의 국내 교통 서비스 제공이 이뤄져야 한다는 공감대를 형성, 교통 서비스 개선 및 홍보 사업을 적극 추진하기로 했다. 특히 단기 체류 관광객들이 언어, 인증 등의 제약 없이 자유롭게 국내 교통수단을 예약하고 이용할 수 있도록 시스템을 개선하고 관광객들의 국내 교통수단 이용 활성화를 위한 홍보를 강화할 예정이다.
먼저 ㈜SR은 SRT 외국어 예약·결제 시스템을, 전국고속버스운송사업조합과 ㈜티머니는 글로벌 OTA ‘클룩’과 손잡고 고속버스 예약·결제 메뉴를 구축할 예정이다. ㈜카카오모빌리티는 해외 모빌리티 업체와의 제휴 및 내부 시스템 개선을 통해 카카오T 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 하고, 티맵모빌리티㈜는 전국 공항버스 예약 서비스를 새롭게 선보이며, 롯데렌탈㈜은 파격적인 렌트카 할인 및 다양한 프로모션을, 비자코리아는 관광택시 등 국내 교통수단 내에 ‘비접촉 결제 시스템’을 도입·확대해 나갈 예정이다.
이와 관련 관광공사는 한국관광 외국어 누리집(visitkorea.or.kr) 내에 ‘지역 관광교통 통합서비스(Easy Book, Easy Go) 사이트(영·일·중)’를 구축, 외래 관광객들을 대상으로 국내 주요 교통수단을 소개하고 권역별·테마별 관광지와 연계한 교통편 추천 및 예약 링크를 제공할 예정이다. 그리고 업계와 공동으로 광고, 이벤트, 할인 프로모션 등 국내 교통수단 이용을 활성화하기 위한 홍보·마케팅을 적극 시행할 예정이다.
한편 8개 협업사 대표들은 업무협약에 앞서 지난 23일 관광공사, 한국철도공사와 함께 ‘2023-2024 한국방문의 해 K관광 협력단 출범식’에서 ‘외래 관광객 교통 서비스 혁신 얼라이언스 선포식’을 진행했다.
이재환 관광공사 부사장은 “국내 교통 업계를 선도하는 기업들과의 협업을 통해 한국을 방문하는 외래 관광객들이 편리하고 안전하게 국내여행을 즐기고, 특히 지역 방문 수요를 증진하기 위한 지역 내 교통편의 서비스를 개선해 외래객 1000만 명 달성에 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.
